Clinic Growth Guide
Clinic
digitalisation.

Start with information patients can trust, an easy way to contact your clinic and a manageable routine. Digital marketing is not a promise of patient growth: it is a way to make your services easier to find and understand.
1. Plan around your clinic
Choose the services you want to explain and the questions your patients commonly ask. Set one practical goal, such as making appointment enquiries easier, before adding more channels. Assign someone to keep clinic information current.
2. Keep local listings accurate
Check your Google Business Profile name, address, phone number, opening hours and category against the real clinic. Link to the clinic’s own website. Where available, an appointment link should take patients directly to a page for that clinic location, not an unrelated page.
Use genuine clinic photos with permission. Do not publish patient images or details without appropriate consent.
3. Make your website useful
Give each service a clear explanation: what it involves, who to contact and how to request an appointment. Show verified practitioner information and current contact details. Check the site on a phone and make the call or enquiry option easy to reach.
Avoid guaranteed treatment outcomes or unsupported medical claims. Educational content should be checked by an appropriately qualified clinician and should not replace individual medical advice.
4. Build trust with honest reviews
Invite genuine feedback without discounts, gifts or other incentives, and do not ask only satisfied patients. Never buy reviews. Reply politely without confirming someone’s patient status or discussing their treatment publicly.
5. Use simple systems carefully
Keep enquiry handling consistent with a clear process for receiving requests and following up. Use reminders only with appropriate permission and keep access to patient information restricted. Do not put medical histories or other sensitive details into public forms or marketing tools without checking their suitability.
6. Measure enquiries, not just attention
Review calls, appointment enquiries and completed bookings alongside website visits. A click on a call button is not a confirmed call, and an enquiry is not a booked appointment. Use these distinctions when deciding what to improve.
If you use analytics, do not send names, phone numbers, email addresses or sensitive health information in events, URLs or form data. Check applicable privacy obligations before enabling tracking; Google Analytics is not appropriate for collecting protected health information.
